Accessibility Statement
Treatment should be reachable by everyone, and so should the website that explains it. Here is what we do, and how to tell us when we have got it wrong.

Our commitment
Mile High Treatment & Recovery is committed to making our services and this website usable by people with disabilities, in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. We do not refuse care, and we do not treat anyone differently, on the basis of disability.
The standard we work to
We build this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the standard we aim at rather than a certification we hold. We have not had an independent audit, so we describe our work honestly as ongoing.
What we build in
- Semantic HTML, so screen readers can announce headings, lists, landmarks and links correctly.
- One clear heading structure per page, with a single page title and headings in order.
- Every interactive control reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning, and no alternative text on images that are purely decorative.
- Text and background colors checked for contrast against the WCAG AA thresholds.
- Layouts that reflow to small screens and stay readable when text is enlarged.
- Motion and animation that respect your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Form fields with visible labels, and errors described in text rather than by color alone.
- An accessibility button in the footer that lets you set high contrast, larger text, a plainer typeface, highlighted links, paused animation or a larger cursor. Your choices are saved in your own browser and are never sent to us.
Where we know we fall short
- Some content is supplied by third parties, such as the map and the chat widget, and we do not control their code.
- Documents and images published before this statement may not yet meet the same standard.
We would rather say this plainly than claim a level of conformance we have not tested. If you hit something that is not on this list, please tell us and it goes on the list.

Report a barrier
